The Disco Disciples are a 1970s Disco tribute act playing all the #1 hits of the disco era.
The aim of the Disco Disciples essentially is a high energy fun band to get people up and dancing on the dance floor and have a good time.
The band perform in 1970s tailor made disco costumes (satin jumpsuits ala Earth Wind & Fire) to recreate the fun atmosphere that Disco was renowned for.
The Disco Disciples want you to feel like you walked into 1977, If it’s the flashing light up acrylic drum kit or the flashing Disco Disciples stage lights, or the over the top costumes we want to deliver an experience.
The group has highly professional musicians who have played in chart topping bands like Machine Gun Fellatio, Tim Freedman of the Whitlams, and award winning band Super Massive.
Glenn who started the Disco Disciples has personally had a lot of live experience playing many high profile gigs supporting Robbie Williams, The Black Eyed Peas, Kiss, Duran Duran, Garbage and Primus and all the big festivals. So I know how important it is to deliver a good solid highly professional live act to stand out in the crowd.
Our setlist has songs from Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, ABBA, KC and the Sunshine Band, Earth Wind & Fire, Diana Ross, Gloria Gayner, Village People, Michael Jackson, Blondie, Sister Sledge, Chic, Sylvester, and the Big Love Barry White just to name a few.
We have over 4 sets of songs in our repertoire.
The band is VERY family friendly and none of the songs have any swearing or profanity in them and all the music is very dancing orientated.
